A pleasant surprise

I noticed the other day that when the lady at Safeway rang in my purchases, on the screen behind her it said, "GST 5%" and I was like....what???
When I asked when it had changed from 7 to 5, she answered, "Oh, it's been like that for a long time!"

I was shocked and thought to myself, "couldn't have been a long time - I've only been out of the country for 6 months."

I have since found out that it was only back in February that it was changed! This is one change was a pleasant surprise!
