Prayer request

Dear Family & Friends,

"When God closes one door, He always opens another."

Here I sit in Joburg and I am asking for prayer for outreach team! As you were all aware, outreach started this past Monday! Our team has felt that God was calling us to Mexico. We started out our journey on Monday afternoon as we had a 13 hour drive to Pretoria, we needed to get to Pretoria to get the visas. Three of our students (2 from South Africa and 1 from Ghana) needed visas. The Mexican embassy only does interviews for visas, and the interviews are only done in the morning. So, we drove all through the night as we wanted to be at the embassy first thing Tuesday morning.

Tuesday morning after being in the kombi (like a van) for 13 hours we arrived safely in Pretoria. We headed over to the embassy, parked the kombi and waited until 8am and then at that time, Bob and the three students headed to the embassy, while the rest of us stayed in the kombi and prayed. (and slept) After three hours they returned with the news...they did not get their visas! The guy at the embassy said that there was no way of getting their visas, because they did not meet the requirements. When we contacted the base to let them know, our school leader decided to call and see if there was anything they could do on their end. When she called him, he just told her, that we did not meet the requirements and so therefore he is not going to give them a visa, even if we re-applied!

As a team, we were not sure what to do! We are now staying here in Joburg. We are seeking God and seeing what and where He wants us. Please I am asking that you pray with us. We feel that we have to start all over again! For me, going to Mexico was easy, as we had everything arranged and really didn't have to plan much, I feel that that is the area God is working in me. He wants me to rely totally on Him and let Him be the one that plans this outreach!

For now, we are for sure here in Joburg for a week and then we are hoping to hear from God and see where He wants us. This morning we had a time of intercession and just praying. We were also told that we can do a ministry for kids in the next couple of days and so we are going to do that while we wait on God! Also, as this weekend is Easter weekend, we are planning on attending a church and doing some ministry there.

We know that God did not bring us this far to leave us, and so we trust Him! We want Him to be the leader of this outreach team. Please, when you pray for us, if you feel God has given you any words for our team, please email them to us!
